ESL One Germany will begin on October 5th to November 1st and we will see the comeback for the rarely used group stage format in Dota 2 competitions. The 16 teams will start the battle in a Swiss format, 5 rounds of best-of-three matches, where 3 wins will grant a spot to the playoffs. However, only half of the participants will make the cut to the next stage as the playoff bracket will feature just eight squads. The playoff stage will be played in the traditional double elimination bracket format, best-of-three series and best-of-five grand finals.
The prize pool distribution for the ESL One Germany is as below:
-1st place: $150,000
-2nd place: $80,000
-3rd place: $45,000
-4th place: $25,000
-5th/6th place: $15,500
-7th/8th place: $12,000
