OGA Dota PIT Season 4 confirms a mid-December Europe and CIS event

CMD368 – Yesterday it was confirmed that the AMD SAPPHIRE OGA Dota PIT Season 4 China event would take place in early December and now a Europe/CIS iteration has also been announced for the middle of the month. For much of November we have been blessed with a plethora of Dota 2 action from the China region as well as Europe and CIS too. With some events still ongoing and other recently completed, we have had the confirmation of more action from the China region with the OGA Dota PIT Season 4 starting up later this week. Just a short time ago, the EU/CIS region of the same event was also confirmed which will run from December 15th-18th.

In their post made via their Twitter account, the event confirms a total of eight teams fighting for their share of a $150,000 prize pool. The teams to compete are:

-OG
-Alliance
-mudgolems
-Team Nigma
-Just Error
-Natus Vincere
-Virtus.pro
-Vikin.gg

One of the main aspects that has been noticed for this event is that Team Secret do not appear on the roster of participating teams and as such, it has been assumed that the squad have decided to take a break – with their current mindset being focused on the still ongoing EPIC League Division 1 event.

Another massive possibility for the OGA Dota PIT Season 4: EU/CIS event is that it will be the first tournament that we see on the new 7.28 patch – which is also set to include the new hero added to the game. According to the latest information from Valve, the new patch and hero are set to drop in mid-December, meaning that this tournament is perfectly set to showcase some great Dota 2 action.

The OGA Dota PIT Season 4: EU/CIS event will be played using the standard double elimination format with all series up until the grand final being best-of-three, with a best-of-five to decide the champion. We’re looking forward to seeing all these teams in action again in December as the tournament promises to be one to remember.
