Topson will not participate in OGA Dota PIT Season 3: Eu/CIS event
CMD368 – Last week we learned that two-time winner of The International, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, became a father and with that, the player has decided to skip the upcoming OGA Dota PIT Season 3: EU/CIS event to spend some time with his newborn and wife. By this time last year, we were all stunned by OG claiming their second Aegis of Champions when they were able to win The International 2019 without too much trouble. Unfortunately, this year has not been the same within Dota 2 as the COVID-19 pandemic has left us without a Dota 2 Pro Circuit and TI10 – but it’s not all doom and gloom as last week, Topson and his wife welcomed their newborn daughter into the world.
It’s a girl, Mawar and I couldn’t be happier and the birth went smooth. I love her so much already 🥰 pic.twitter.com/rKy7N5CTjH

Tomorrow we see the OGA Dota PIT Season 3: EU/CIS event kicking off, with OG hoping to maybe make a dent in the spectacular form of Team Secret in recent months but, the team are set to play with a stand-in. With the addition to his family, Topson has decided to take a few days off to take care of both his wife and child, meaning that Titouan “Sockshka” Merloz will be taking his place for the tournament. Known for doing exceptionally well with their coaches as players, OG definitely will still be a team to lookout for, especially in their first series against Alliance tomorrow.
It will be great to see OG on the battlefield again, especially considering they have been beaten in grand finals by Secret twice in recent months – and maybe they can come up with something to edge out the current best team in EU at OGA Dota PIT Season 3: EU/CIS.
